Volo and Non are taking shelter from a storm within a cave.
While resting together, Non sits up suddenly, clutching his head as it seared with pain.

Arceus was speaking to him, telling him that if he was to not face Volo at the Temple of Sinnoh, then Arceus itself would take control of him and do so.

After letting Volo know what he had been told, the both of them did their best to come up with a solution.
Though Volo could just go on his own, there was a likely change that Arceus would just make Non go after him.
Instead, they would need to have Non be somewhere where Arceus could not reach him.

Volo takes Non to Turnback Cave. Where he has Giratina open a portal to the distortion world.

He assures Non that this will be temporary. That once he has obtained Arceus's power then he would come let him out.


Non steps into the Distortion world, the portal closing behind him.


From outside the distortion world, the story progresses as it does within the actual game. Volo enlists Rei's help collecting the plates, and ultimately gets defeated by him.
Though afterwards, Volo realizes he can no longer get Giratina to open the distortion world for him, meaning Non was trapped in there.

After Rei captures it, Volo does ask to use Giratina. Rei refuses or obvious reasons.


Within the Distortion World, Non simply wanders around and does his best to keep himself occupied while he waited.
Days went by, then weeks, then years.

Non had quickly found out that he no longer needed to actually eat as he had long since run out of rations.

By this point he had figured that, by some means, Volo's plan had been stopped.

Several more years go by, though Non had no real way of telling he just started to scratch how many times he slept into the walls as a way of trying to keep track.
Though he noticed he did not age, he still estimated that about 60 years had gone by. He knew that there was no chance of Volo returning by this point as he had likely died by then.

More time passes on, and he hears a familliar roar. Giratina was flying through the distortion world As by this point Rei was gone as well, meaning it had been released.
Non went to try to reason with it, to get it to let him out, but Giratina paid him no mind. It would simply either flying off or trying to attack him.


Several more years went by and by now, even though he knew he likely would not be getting out, Non began to think of a way to continue on Volo's plan himself. Though, due to the passage of time his own views of the plan had begun to be warped.

Giratina overheard him muttering to himself about the plans when it began to encourage him further. Causing the original goal of creating a new better world into causing those who were making the world worse pain, then remaking everything.

After 150 years of being inside the distortion world, Giratina finally lets Non out.

Around where he had been let out within Turnback Cave, there were several items. Many were flowers, withered to the point that touching them would likely cause them to fall to dust.


Non quickly makes his way out of the cave, and other than a small dock within the spring the cave exited to and generally being overgrown, everything around looked relatively similar to when he had left.

He exits the Spring and quickly makes his way north. He was well aware that it had been far too long for Volo to still be around, surely heading the direction of the ancient retreat would be his best cource of action for now.
Before he can make his way fully there, he finds himself within Veilstone City.

He is completely overwhelemed with the amount of changes the world has undergone.


Over time he slowly acclimates, though he would have prefered to get himself a home a bit further out, the first one he could get was within the city itself.
At this point he adopts several of Volo's mannerisms as being isolate for 150 years had caused him to not exactly do well in social situations.

He wanders Sinnoh for a while, his plans still brewing in the back of his mind.

He eventually makes his way to Celestic Town. As he is investigating the ruins he is approached by Cynthia who nearly gives him a fucking heart attack.

To Non's confustion, Cynthia greets him as if she knows him. Non affirms that unfortunatly he doesn't know her, but lets her know that he did have a hole in his memory.
She lets him know they had met a few years prior, as well as a few things about him. Likely if he had been told this back when he had first arrived in Hisui it would've stirred something in him, but now it just felt like she was talking about an entrirely seperate person.

Nonetheless, Non plays along. Cynthia can tell something is off about Non but doesn't pry for now.


He asks about Volo as he, to his particular unenjoyment of the notion, sees the resemblance in the both of them. Cynthia denies knowing of him, but does let him know that in her family's home there is a family tree book and he is welcome to look in that. In addition to that, she had something she had been meaning to give him.

Non goes along with her and begins to look through the book. He sees Cogita but, to both his dissapointment and joy he does not see Volo. He had expected to see Volo at least stemming from Cogita as she was his Aunt but there was no mention of him at all.

His dissapointment stemmed from the fact that, at least here, there was no mention of him anywhere, that perhaps history had forgotten him.

Cynthia gets Non's attention and provides him with a Pokemon Egg.

Non excuses himself and leaves.



While resting one day in his home the egg finally hatches, revealing a Togepi. All Non can think about when seeing it is the one Volo had and begins to sob.



While wandering around the region again, he comes across Cyrus, who was just kinda Monologuing to himself (as he just kinda does in game).
Non notes to him that he's heard a lot of the things that Cyrus was talking about before. Non speaks some of Cyrus's own idealogilies back at him.

Through their small discussion, Non had a pretty good idea of what Cyrus was planning. And he knew in assisting him he could just step in at the last moment and take over.


Over time had had managed to work his way into and up the ranks of Team Galactic, assisting them whenever needed.
Though he was part of their ranks, he absolutely refused to wear the outfit or cut his hair like that. Which caused some grunts to occasionally freak out when they saw him in the headquarters but after a while everyone just kinda got used to him being there like that.

The events of Platnium take place at this point with nothing changing other than Non going off on Saturn for blowing up Lake Valor. (Despite his disdain for the world, he does still have respect for Legendary Pokemon).


When Cyrus is defeated at spear pillar and the main character returns from the distortion world, Non steps in, Challenging them to a battle.

Ultimately Non is defeated here and goes to leave rather nonchalantly. Before he can however he is stopped by Looker and the Police.

They attempt to restrain him, though in doing so Non panics as it was similar to getting restrained by Kamado back in Hisui.

He freaks out, quickly attacking the officers restraining him and bolting off. He sends out his Togekiss and quickly flies off.
