When sending him to in Hisui, Arceus didn't send Non to a specific place within the region, opting to just send him out to a random location.

So instead of landing safely on the beach where he could be found, he was instead launched directly into the Alabaster Icelands.

He had lost all of his memories in the fall as well, so he had no idea where he was, what he was doing there, or what he was going to do.


While wandering around Non came upon the Pearl Settlement. Though he was turned away.
He was unaware that it was due to him was being followed by a certain pokemon.

After being unable to find shelter, he had passed out in the wilderness.

Not long after, a Hisuian Zoroark found him and thankfully instead of trying to eat him or even attack him it took pity on him.


He was taken to a nearby cave in order to warm up.

Thankfully (maybe?) Volo happened to be traveling around that day and came upon Non and the Zoroark in the cave when trying to seek shelter from the snow for a bit.

At first the Zoroark could tell Volo's vibes were, for lack of a better word, fucking rancid and would not let him get closer. Though. after some convincing he was finally able to fully try to help Non; starting up a fire and warming him up.

Volo was well aware that Non had fallen from the rift.

Though he was sure Non was probably working with Arceus, he couldn't bring himself to just let him die.

Non eventually comes to and after making sure he had his strength back, Volo led Non to Jubilife village. The Zoroark tagging along because, again, Volo's rancid vibes.

During this time Non had let Volo know that he had no memories. Volo didn't 100% believe him however.

The villagers were incredibly distrusting of Non at first due to him being a random outsider and the giant fuckass zoroark following him

Despite this, Non is able to secure a position with the security corps and gets a place to stay, in which Volo is like "alright, don't gotta worry about him now, back to my own stuff". Though every so often they do see each other and have just a little passing chat

The villagers continue to just not trust Non at ALL.
Non however desperately wants to show that he can be trusted and starts doing quite literally any and every request he can do, putting incredible strain on himself.

He eventually is instructed to quell the Kleavor Noble

He was very very much not ready.

Non wakes up and finds that Volo has patched him up.

It's late at night and too dangerous for Non to make his way back to the village in the state he's in. Non in fact even tried to but had to be stopped by Volo.

The two of them spend the night, and, in fact a few days, at the little makeshift campsite Volo had set up there. Volo teases him playfully a bit how this is the 2nd time he's had to save him.

Once Non is finally ready to get back to the village Volo urges him to 1: not do anything like that again, and 2: stop pushing himself as hard especially while he's healing.

Unfortunately, Non does not in fact listen to Volo.
Though for the first day or so he doesn't go as hard on the requests as he did before, the approval from the other villagers gets to him again and he starts to do request after request for them. Their approval of him only goes up marginally.

Over the next few months he and Volo and up spending more time together.

It ramping up quite a lot once they meet in the Solaceon ruins and Non confirms he can read the inscriptions just fine. Volo thinks this is due to him lying about not remembering anything but doesn't say anything about it.

Though this is more due to Non being fucking obsessed with the ruins of Alph before he landed in Hisui, reading it is just innate to him at this point.

In the ruins however Non discusses his excitement with exploring them, something he and Volo have a shared interest in. This interest is what causes them to spend even more time together as basically anytime there's ruins in an area the two go to each other and are like "Hey! We should go here ^^."

Non absolutely loves when winding down from the day Volo tells him about myths and legends.


Around this time is when another person (Rei) fell from the rift.
But this time Lavington advised them to keep it secret as he saw how people treated 'Non.
A few months later, Non and Volo of them explore the Celestica ruins together.

The two of them are winding down after exploring for a while.
Volo begins to realize his intentions have gone from "I can use him" to "I am taking him with me". Though at that point he was unsure how to tell Non about his plans as Non was still hopeful that the people of Hisui would eventually turn around and fully trust him.

Luckily for Volo he didn't have to do all the heavy lifting with that.

Once more Volo's plan began to unfold and the rift in the sky opened more, and thus the villagers all blamed Non.
Non is told he was to be exiled from the village. Unfortunately he tries to fight back and got restrained by Kamado and his pokemon taken away.
He is then sent out to the wilderness. Volo goes to the village to find Non, but doesnt find him there; learning of his exile.

During Non's exile, he becomes completely distrusting of anyone, especially the people of Jubilife Village. His prior views that 'everyone is kind deep down' and the thoughts of the people eventually coming around to him being completely gone.

A little under a month go by before Volo finally finds Non, who at that point was mentally tired and broken.
He had worked so hard trying to get the villagers approval and this is what had happened.
Volo comforts him, finally letting him in on his plan and letting him know that they could create a new better world.

Non agrees.
